If you want to scream every time you look at an ad for a “new, incredible” exercise for abs that guarantees success, you will understand.
Here is a proof why this is so: A recent study in the journal Journal of Strength and Conditioning shows that: workout for abs which is composed solely of sit-ups, has no effect!
Researchers conducted a study of two groups. One was doing sit-ups five days a week, while the other group did not do anything. After completing the survey, which lasted six weeks, had no significant change in the stomach of any of the groups.
In short: Exercises of the abdominal muscles had no effect!
Then, how to get a flat stomach?
It is as simple as practicing orbitrek for 20 minutes a day. New research reveals that certain types of exercise really burn calories, while others are just wasting your time.
Myths related to the fat loss
You need 1,000 abs a day to lose one pound of fat.
“Aerobic activities must be part of a “recipe for exercise.” Abdominal exercises are great for increasing strength in the abdomen, but they just will not contribute to the loss of fat, “says Dr. John Smith, assistant professor at Texas A & M University.
The research concluded that only exercises for abs are not helping much in reducing weight, because the effect is covered with fat.
Maybe you’ve heard a million times that you cannot train if you’re fat. This is sometimes true, if we talk about abdominal exercises, but some studies have shown that certain training influence the fat loss around the stomach, more than the sit-ups.
One is high-intensity training. Survey implemented in the department of kinesiology at McMaster University, found that men who had sprint training for 2.5 hours, within 2 weeks had stunning results.
Abdominal + cardio = Perfect combination!
Combining training for stomach with aerobic exercise leads to greater fat loss than just training with abdominal exercises, research suggests. A recent study found that obese adolescents who participated in 30 minutes plus 30 minutes of aerobic training for stomach and who exercised three times a week, lost 4 times more fat than the group that just did hard abs exercises with similar intensity.
“Proper diet and cardio exercises will cause weight loss, but that weight is not just fat – but also the muscles which do not allow the body to build the Athletic type of body,” says Halve.
“But if you want to burn fat and have the Athletics body, the best training is a combination of cardio training (aerobic exercise) with strength training (exercises with weights).”
Conclusion: abdominal exercises make your stomach look great – but once the fat will disappear. For the fat to disappear, first watch the diet, but expose the body of physical activity exercises with weights for strength or aerobic exercises with Sprint running.
