I was surprised when a friend of mine told me that he cannot find a girlfriend because he is too smart. Being single myself, I asked myself “does being smart makes it difficult to find the true love?”
I came up with a conclusion that this is probably true. Not that people that are in love are stupid, not at all, but I want to say that the highly intelligent people find it more difficult to fall in love. Here are the reasons:
INTELIGENT PEOPLE ARE MORE ANALYTICAL WHEN IT COMES TO LOVE
Intelligent people like to have better foresight. This is ability to analyze the situation, to call to mind relevant past experiences and make an educated appraise of the future probability of the situation. When this is applied into a relationship, the smart people are faster to end up the relationships at the first warning signs. The experience is the best teacher during our lives, so the smarter people are always leaning on their experience and let it guide them. But this can be tricky practice when it comes to relationships.
All relationships experience similar situations. What caused an end for one relationship will not do the same to another, but the people are taking their experience in consideration, which will make them to leave their partner at first sign of trouble.
INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ARE GUARDED
Intelligent people are more guarded. They find it difficult to open up because their analytical mind reflects the situations from the past all the time. This is why they are often cold and distant in the eyes of other people.
INTELLIGENT PEOPLE ARE OFTEN SINGLE BY CHOICE
Smart people are analytical, even in the relationships. They believe that being single is better than being with the wrong partner. This is a rational decision. In fact, most of the intelligent individuals are alone because it is their choice. This isn’t a circumstance of their situation, but a rational choice.
