A good-hearted woman from Texas allowed a homeless man to sleep in her house in order to protect him from the cold weather outside. During the night, when everyone else was in a deep sleep, the woman woke up and was taken aback!
The kind 66-year-old woman, who wanted her identity to remain secret, lives in Houston, Texas with her two grandchildren. She is a good-hearted woman indeed and her generosity was proven by offering a bed and warm food to a homeless man.
When everyone else in the house was already asleep, the woman suddenly woke up. It turned out that she was not the only one awake, as Smith, the homeless guy, was awake as well. According to KPRC TV, Smith heard a bang and got out of bed. However, this bang didn’t wake up the old lady and the grandchildren. Then, he opened the door of the lady`s bedroom in order to see what the problem was! It turned out that she needed help immediately and it was him who woke her up and reacted quickly.
The entire house was filled with smoke, caused by explosion in the attic. The 66-year-old lady was still in her bed and was covered with a part of the ceiling, which fell on her after the explosion. Smith reacted very quickly, cleared the ceiling parts, and took the woman outside. However, when he took the woman on safety, he remembered that the children are still inside.
Even though Smith managed to save the woman, his heroism didn’t stop there. In an attempt to rescue the children from the fire, Smith rushed back inside, risking his life by exposing himself to the choking smoke and high temperature. Luckily, both Smith and the children were all right.
However, the house was burned down and completely destroyed. Even though the house in which the woman lived for over 40 years disappeared, her grandchildren were safe and sound.
Most people would never invite a homeless person in their home and offer him bed and warm food. However, this kind, old lady followed her inner sense and made the right decision. If Smith hadn’t be present in the house at that particular moment, the fire would have spread and caused injuries, or even death.
To sum up, it turns out that there is something in the saying “What goes around comes around.”The lady did a good deed and helped someone in need, who then repaid the debt in the most amazing way.
