The Gelatin In Your Gummy Bears Comes From Slaughtered Pigs! | Healthy Life Vision

Gudrun Howell · August 6, 2018 ·

Before you start reading, a quick warning – you’re entering a territory where innocent child memories may be shattered!

Besides their colorful appearance, gummy bears are not as innocent as they seem. They consist of gelatin which is made from animal by-products. They are essentially minced animal meat remains, chemicals and tons of sugar which sounds disgusting.

The video you can see below is a documentary created by Alina Kneepkens, a Belgian freelance director and journalist. The video shares the process of producing gummy bears without censoring the bad parts. It shows everything from the nice sugary pleasure to the bad taste of a slaughtered pig in your mouth. Shocking, right?

However, before you give up on gummy bears, you should know that there are vegetarian alternatives which consists of algae “gelatin”, so maybe give them a try.
