I’m waking up daily so stuffed up, particularly during the allergy season. It is not a very fun experience when you can’t breathe through your nose and your eyes itch. I found this method against sinus congestion a few years ago. Of course this is not going to fix the issue permanently only by itself. Also drinking lots of fresh water and kicking up the spicy food in your live will help you against sinus congestion as well.
Here is what I do:
- Place your tongue against the top of your mouth. Make some pressure but don’t go overboard.
- Put your thumb between your eyebrows.
- Press down with your thumb for about half a minute, but don’t apply so much pressure. Try not to push too hard however
Your sinuses will start to drain straightaway. This is happening because the vomer bone in your nasal entries rocks forward and backward with the pressure, which releases up the mucus in your sinuses, letting it to drain.
Really neat, huh? Next time you’re stuffed up, try it out.
