“Perfection is our nation’s disease. We cover our faces with tons of make-up products. We starve ourselves to become perfect size and have botoxs on every part of our body. We are trying to fix something that cannot be fixed. Our soul needs surgery. It’s time to take a stand. If you don’t love yourself, how can you expect someone else to love you? You just have to be happy with yourself. The inside counts, not your outside look. Today, I will put up a makeup-free photo. I know that I have wrinkles on my skin, but I want you to see further than that. I will embrace the real me and I want you to do the same, and to love yourself just the way you are.” – Julia Roberts.
This was posted on her Facebook and Instagram profile. She wanted to say that our beauty parameters have become twisted and extreme.
The people in the world are too much focused on looks. I understand to take care of how you look but what is enough is enough. Stop filling your face with botox because you have a couple of wrinkles, which is completely natural, it is too freaking much!
Watching people through this prism, and even worse, filtering people through this prism of “beauty on steroids” is the ugliest thing in the world. It is really disgusting!
Rather than helping ourselves living through our actual potential we lock one another into these imaginary prisons because of esthetics, that’s not even natural esthetics but forced.
It doesn’t matter how good you look, that’s just ugly.
It doesn’t matter how ugly you look, if your soul shines true, if you are a human by the real sense of this value, than you are perfect!
