Constantly suffering from colds is a reason enough to strengthen your immune system, and professor Sergey Bubnovsky from Moscow has an innovating technique that can do it.
According to the professor, soaking your legs in an ice-cold bath for 10-15 seconds after coming home from work can reinforce your immune system and prepare it for the fight against colds and the flu!
Pour cold water in a bathtub or basin, then add as much ice as you can get and soak your feet in the tub for 10-15 seconds. Repeating this method every night before going to bed will improve your immune system quickly. The method is especially beneficial for people with weak immune system – in this case, soak your feet in icy water every 4 hours.
Ice or cold therapy is actually quite know and practiced, especially in fitness. Those who exercise use ice baths to reduce swelling and flush lactic acid out of the body. The cold causes your blood vessels to tighten which helps drain the lactic acid out.
Ice baths are also popular outside sports as well. They are considered a part of a cryotherapy, which uses cold temperatures treatments therapeutically. People placed for short time in cold rooms at temperatures as low as −135 °C, has been used in hospitals in Poland as well as in London to treat muscular ailments and even depression.
