Most of us blame the unhealthy diet like pizza, fast food or chocolate as the main reason for the back fat, while the nutritionists claim that the greatest reason for this problem is the stress.
“When we are tense or under pressure, our body produces hormones such as cortisol, which promotes fat accumulations in the stomach area.
This type of fat deposits can be very dangerous because it accumulates around the organs and can result with numerous chronic issues, like type II diabetes, heart conditions, stroke, hypertension and even cancer”, explains Merlin Greenville, a nutritionist.
She also explains that our modern lifestyle brings many stress situations, that cause increased adrenaline secretion.
Our body produces adrenaline automatically in stress situations, while the cortisol provides us with energy which helps us to face these situations.
However, our modern lifestyle in which we aren’t active enough, and the stress is common appearance, makes the energy in form of glucose and fat to be accumulated around our waist because it has nowhere to go.
Even worse, this type of fat can be very persistent, so it doesn’t respond to any diet or rigorous exercise. Also, the stress increases the appetite and makes you to face toward the unhealthy foods.
What is the solution?
According to the nutritionists, you should stop with the diets and begin to eat more but smaller meals (on every three hours).
Eliminate the sugars and refined carbohydrates (if you must eat them, make sure it is before 6 PM), and add some proteins in your meals because they will make you feel satiated and are also helpful for the weight loss.
Don’t skip the breakfast, avoid carbonated drinks and sweetened juices. Drink water as more as possible and make sure you are active during the day. Try to eat slower.
